In other news, our President Emeritus, Annie Liang-Zhou, recently made a generous donation to CINGS: a remarkable artwork by a contemporary Chinese artist celebrated for his groundbreaking fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern digital techniques.
Annie, a big fan of the artist’s creations, shared her thoughts during a recent conversation: “I collected the artist’s work because I admire how thoughtfully he explores the juxtaposition between modern industry and traditional landscapes, as well as the environmental challenges posed by industrialization.”
The donated piece, valued at approximately $15,000, has been sent to Serica and will feature in their upcoming auction event (date to be announced). Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed once the details are finalized.
We are truly grateful for such a generous act of kindness and we thank Annie for her ongoing and always present support to CINGS.
